Wow, I looked it up (as I always do when I make a big investment in something I plan on having for a long time) and I'm not disappointed. For those who don't know, LED TVs are the best class of HDTVs (including LCD and plasma TVs of all forms), and in my opinion, this particular model is truly the best in class (all things considered). the stuff: picture quality, price, features, and, IMHO, size: I didn't need more than 40 inches for my stuff). Plasma has a better image. However, LEDs have a better image with the same resolution. I tried this model at Best Buy, along with two other (42-inch) TVs I've compared it to, an LG LCD and a Panasonic Plasma. The seller cursed the plasma and didn't even notice a noticeable difference in discrepancy between the 42" and this model (the LED was better). I won't go into the pros and cons of each category of TV. (If I could), but all what is considered LED is generally the best home if you're not up to the task, anyway, I've seen some people complain about: 1) sound, 2) remote control, 3) screen brightness, 4) leakage or 5) whatever the TV is interested in. I'll address these points with references in the following paragraphs: -1) That said, the sound is pretty decent (you're buying a standalone HDTV, what do you expect?) and most of people might want to buy a speaker/system in the future. It's important to you ("clear sound" is sometimes good) - 2) Hey, it's far! Come on, people! The remote is very intuitive and it has some great features (the menu is very simple and easy to navigate. It's fun once you get the hang of it o), such as illuminated buttons that you can turn on and off. with a colored button. Also, the buttons look nice and accessible. -3) As long as you don't keep the windows open and facing the TV, it's not a big deal, especially if the TV is already on! -4) I think I want to admit that some people frown and worry; I've noticed faint circular points of light in the top and bottom left and right corners of the screen, and even in the top center (where the light comes in) when watching a movie at night. It doesn't matter, but it does. However, this can only be seen if the following conditions are met: You are viewing an ultra-wide screen image in a letterbox, the lights are off at night or the house is off, and the movie scene is very dark. I'm not sure if this is normal for LEDs. Either way, it's too simple, easy to overlook, and not worth returning the TV to. As you can imagine I am already very happy with it. -5) Mine arrived in perfect condition. I recommend the Amazon Prime free trial. You can get this TV with free standard shipping or $4 overnight shipping in the continental US. - My last initial comment that I would like to add to this review is about the style of the panel/frame. The outer bezel is surrounded by an additional transparent ring with a smaller, extra-thin transparent red ring. Aesthetics is important to me, so seeing this model in the store was a must. However, the red bezel was barely visible in the store, along with the transparent bezel. If you look closely and see this, you will see how beautiful everything is. The frame is ultra-slim, glossy black with a mostly glass base. The main core is made of transparent glass, so the TV appears to float in mid-air. I think that's exactly what the designers wanted. Now let's move on to some of the features that previous reviewers didn't mention...this TV will really help you out. The very intuitive menu interface has many audio and video options. I haven't used any internet access options yet. My original plan was to connect my laptop to the HDMI port and do a lot of things with it. But this is what I really like about the TV: a USB port for a hard drive. If you have a USB drive/external hard drive, you can view photos, play music, and even watch movies directly from it. Movie playback does not slow down. If you somehow get copies of movies from a Blu-ray disc or any video file type/extension, they'll probably all play without a problem. The TV played almost all types of movie files. I like the simplified menu in the video. From this point of view, nothing can be achieved. And all the HD videos look great. Finally, some people complain about the "TV series" effect that HDTVs can suffer from. I think other brands sometimes call this feature "Trumotion", but for this type of TV, Samsung calls it "Auto Motion Plus". Fortunately, you have the option to disable this feature or change it to one of the other five options if you prefer. God, I don't know what else to say... I don't need a 3D TV and I don't need one yet... But everyone who comes to us sees the screen resolution and picture quality and is always instantly impressed. . I highly recommend this TV to anyone. Do yourself a favor with a 40-inch diagonal and get incredible picture quality and value for an LED TV in its class. Edit: Another advantage of HD LED TVs is that if you watch the same picture over and over again without changing the picture, there is very little chance of "burn-in". The guide contains warnings not to display the same image for more than 5% of total viewing time in a given week. Otherwise, there is a small (but possible) chance that you could burn out the TV. (Update 6/27/11): Picture quality has always been exceptional and this TV is second to none. However, I have a good eye and I still see the light leak issue during widescreen videos where the light is at the darker top and bottom edge. I think I will continue to keep this TV despite the one problem, although I am now weighing the problem against the cost and time of this investment for me. If I call Samsung I will need the same model again. Video enthusiasts may want to consider this light leakage issue when purchasing.

Having owned this TV for exactly a month, I finally decided to write a review after all the hype was over. I'm still excited about it. My old computer also had a 26-inch Samsung LCD and it was worth the upgrade. Since this is a TV, I'll comment on the picture first. Everything is fine out of the box, after a bit of polishing everything is fine. The colors are very vivid, there is no problem to see the angles. In fact, I like my photos to have some contrast; I prefer gray to black. I had a hard time getting this right at first, as my initial reaction was to lower the brightness and gamma, but instead increase the contrast and brightness. After a while, I finally realized that the biggest effect was "glow". About 30% is what really works, but I didn't have to go that low. However, it all depends on preferences and the settings on this TV should be enough for everyone. However, aside from the contrast, I don't see much of a difference between this kit and the non-LED kit... I have to point out something about the setup depending on which of the four photos you have. Options like advanced video settings cannot be selected for unknown reasons. However, I left the place pretty much unchanged. However, I really like that the settings are stored in 4 presets independently for each input source. So for example if you have 4 connections you can have a total of 16 presets, that's fine. I also tried connecting to the computer via vga and found the picture to be very sharp. Colors are subtle, if a bit saturated, and text is easy to read from several feet away, and this is coming from a half-blind operator. The sound seemed very good to me. The bass won't wow your neighbors and it won't replace your home theater, but there's a very powerful adjustable EQ that helps a bit. Volume was not an issue for me in this group. Now I have to talk about the 120Hz Auto Motion Plus (AMP) offering, because it seems to be the main feature driving up the price of the smaller models. You can find what AMP does for you in the product description, so I'll describe it. Thanks to AMP, everything moves faster while maintaining image detail. (more frames at the same time = faster) To me it all seemed like a home movie or daytime soap opera, if you can imagine, it moves faster than most soap operas and movies. Despite a small portion of daily series, I usually watch movies and sports, and after several decades of watching them at 24fps (slightly higher for sports), I found that the extra frames (double?) are not seen natural. After a few days I completely disabled that feature for sports. While there's nothing wrong with the image as it appears, I'd like to see just a blue flash instead of, say, Iron Man's actual chest plate. It only works at certain intervals, so the speed inconsistency frames also affected me. I found a use for AMP during the game. Even if the game is unfamiliar at first, everything moves at 60 frames per second. Still, it's not 100 percent stable at high frame rates (probably 60-80), and some very fast games, like racing, tear up the screen. You probably won't notice it anymore (AMP) in games running at 60fps, and it won't do wonders in games with really choppy, low frames. Overall, it looks great for the game as I wasn't planning on giving it up but ultimately decided against it. The main benefit for me was Connectshare. Some time ago I was thinking about buying a digital media player, but here it is really compact and really very practical. While there are too many to list here, the TV's online guide actually lists support for dozens of file types, covering dozens of video and audio codecs up to 30Mbps bitrates for certain file types. It played just about anything you asked of it and worked with any "USB device" I've ever used, including NTFS formatted sata hard drives with external enclosures, don't worry. Although the audio sometimes goes back and forth in my live .vob recordings and I haven't tried very high bitrate files yet as I don't think the file size variance is more than 7-8Mbps. One thing I should mention about the media player is that it does a great job of reducing video effects due to downconversion, but it can't scale the actual video while maintaining the aspect ratio. In other words, it doesn't cut off the black horizontal bars in 4:3 video. You have to do this in the conversion. I found this strange as the zoom option is available for all other video inputs. As for the Smart TV/Samsung App Hub, I briefly tested it using the Youtube app over a wired connection (it stopped during initial setup). The videos transfer very fast and the app always plays high quality videos. I quickly removed most of the other shows I never liked from the TV, but even then, it was never a selling point for me, just something to play with. As mentioned, navigating without a keyboard was a piece of cake. Therefore, we expect that in the near future, Samsung will sell its QWERTY remote control separately on TVs from the 7000 series and above; otherwise, this feature might disappear soon. However, after all that, I would definitely buy this TV again if I had to (I did: the 40" UN40D6000 series), especially for the $700 it was offering at the time (thanks to wild fluctuations in market prices). It seems that the LED aspect is more important than the quality of the image.very works with your environmental concerns,I rarely use 120hz automation,I'd rather have more features than less.or old school blockbusters,120 Hz is excessive. I can be happy with the UN32D5500 32". As always, check it out for yourself.

The Samsung UN46D6000 is an excellent HD LED TV and is the best value for money alternative to the 3D model. In fact, the amazing image clarity and colors of this 3D LED array are almost always visible and these are its most interesting features. Other advantages include light weight, slim appearance, and overall elegant design, as well as low power consumption. Although there are separate audio controls for bass, treble and balance.
