This is truly one of the best purchases you can make for a mid-range receiver these days. It doesn't compare to some of the more expensive and powerful receivers, but for what you pay here, you get great value. Connectivity: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is one of the most important features for many people, so I'll start here: This receiver has 4 HDMI inputs, which is amazing for a $400 receiver. It also offers 6 RCA inputs, 2 optical inputs, one coaxial input, one RGB component input and 1 HDMI output. Overall, a very good choice. It also has an additional input for the iPhone IIP Dock, but it's not included and costs $130 ([...]). This was a huge disappointment for me, but I was able to connect my *ANDROID* phone to a simple 3.5mm headphone jack to an rca converter (costs $1.22 each). Sound quality: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I connected it to a set of Harman Kardon 5.1 speakers and the sound is great, the bass is great (even better than Denon AVR-988. My bass quality) . Mids and highs can be more accurate and different, but not better than other receivers in this price range. Ease of use: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. Installation: Very easy, the colored connectors make it easy to tell which speaker I'm connecting and the polarity is correct (which helps) Of course the HK speakers are colored. ). Thanks to the EZSet EQ.2 gauge, installation and setup is a breeze. Remote: Average remote, nothing fancy but programmable to work for some. About the control of the device: a lot is desired - the beautiful appearance of the receiver comes at a price - the buttons on the device are very difficult to distinguish from each other, but I don't think I know. Shouldn't have used it. Look and Feel: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ That's where this box really shines, I've seen a lot of receivers in my time and this one really has to be the best set. It complements the living room perfectly, while other receivers do the opposite. Features: ~~~~~~~~~ 1. 3D: I can't talk about it because I don't have a 3D TV (who needs one?), but if you need one, I have... 2 Dolby TrueHD \ DTS-HD Master Audio: This has been tried and worked, but quite a lot on this type of receiver these days. Logic Processing 7: This technology claims to convert standard 2-channel audio into surround sound. It does nothing, not even a $3000 receiver can do it. ------- Summary: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ It's a good compromise between price and functionality, with a nice front end on top. It's perfect for couples who defy practicality and the needs of the home theater concept: combining the best display at a low price and sound quality is quite good. Note:========== I'm having trouble connecting one of my devices to the receiver - I have a computer, xbox, playstation and wii that I want to connect to the TV via the receiver. . For some reason it doesn't work: when I connect my xbox and my computer I can't see the computer, when I connect the computer it works by itself. When I called support I had to wait in line for over 30 minutes until an unhelpful guy from America contacted me and all he said was that I needed to reset my receiver and that should fix the settings. My attempts to explain it failed and I finally gave up and connected the xbox directly to the TV. Star receiver costs, which is why it has 3 stars instead of 4.

For raw food lovers
I tried several surround receivers and chose the Harman Kardon avr247 and it sounds great. It was much better than the Denon and Yamaha I tried. His voice was amazing. It was time for an upgrade, and of course I had to get my hands on Harman. This is by avr1650 and I couldn't be happier. I used all of the Polk speakers and Polk's 10-inch powered subwoofer and it was like being in a movie theater. My room is 15x25 which is very nice

This kid is rocking. I connected up to 2 pairs of Sony SS-F6000 front and rear and Sony SS-CN5000 in the middle and now I can't wait to get out of my apartment building ;) The only thing missing is Harman's sweet natural response and super clear sound, Tape2 for external alignment, but this I think should go back 2 decades. But as long as you have an analog input you can always tweak that wonderfully modulated frequency response, not just for the tuner, but I didn't hear anything bad that they were broadcasting on the radio, so I'm fine now. It doesn't work like the previous model (I previously had two 4-inch fans on the AVRII) so that's good news since I live in Florida and don't have any other heaters in the house. I want a living room. One high in the sky is more than enough!! Do yourself a favor and buy a speaker kit and not one of the little H/T kits they sell. Of course, the speakers are very good, but the sound quality is amazing, but how good would this sound if it was from Pollux instead of Sony.
