We've had this 47-inch Vizio TV for over a month and the family loves it. Setup took about 5 minutes.HDMI connections for digital input cable, DVD, X-box 360 and Playstation 3.took another 5 minutes. Connect the internet cable and connect the optical audio output to the home theater. The picture quality is good with a very high contrast ratio... black is really black compared to my 1 year old Sony Bravia's 2 million contrast ratios. They didn't take much to improve the picture quality, the blue-ray movies played on the PS3 looked great. They also found it easy to adjust the lip sync to match the sound of the TV without knowing the surround sound system. The LED light improves the image quality or not but it looks good the remote control is easy to use but after me something seems to be wrong e it says the batteries are low, even after a few hours, we are lucky. rk everything is still good. The only reason this review doesn't have 5 stars is because of the limited selection of web services. It would be nice to have a browser for full internet access. However, the main service we use, Netflix, works great. I've watched a lot of movies and the quality is always great, much better than using the Netflix app on the XBox 360. I would recommend this TV to anyone looking for a good quality budget TV. I can't imagine what else they can get by doubling the price like many brands do.

with a direct view
I bought this TV 2 months ago and here is the list of pros and cons that I find. Advantages: the image in HDP is very clear, the image can be seen from a viewing angle of about 180 degrees. The overall thickness of the TV is surprisingly less than 2 inches. Cons of internet apps: TV remote no longer works, problems started after 3-4 days. At first the problem was that the buttons on the remote control sometimes didn't work. Then they work and then they work continuously. After 2 months the remote control completely failed. I can't use internet apps anymore. You have to manually turn off the TV from the side and sometimes it doesn't work. The button on the side of the TV doesn't work when I watch Netflix. So the only way to turn off the TV is to unplug it from the network. I called Vizio customer service and spoke to a technician. And I went through all the special troubleshooting methods that you suggested to me. Still nothing works so send a new one. Another issue I have with this product is that the web apps could be improved. Application viewing time is very limited. Like some others. I wish you could browse the web with an app like Google. The TV's sound is not impressive at all. To be honest, after reading about 10 more reviews like this, I'll probably look into this product and look for higher quality and possibly better reviews.

Therefore, this review is based on one week of ownership. The TV was very easy to set up and connect to the Wireless G network (Wireless N is useless) Everything is about the speed of the Internet, not the speed of the network, so the speed of the Internet will be a bottleneck, so DSL will be slow. Internet VUDU app tells me to download 1080P movies. The bluetooth remote that came with the TV controls our cable box (Comcast - Motorola), the remote is amazing! Clean movement looks amazing!!! Other features of the Internet are not bad. I hope Vizio's Hulu deal is reflected in this TV. The photo looks beautiful!!! But there is better technology out there and ambient dimming should give you a better picture but it is more expensive. While browsing the home network (home hunters) I saw blue bleeding in the upper left corner, not sure if it was programmed that way or a fault with the TV because this blue bleeding is not on any other time. Blacks are great but I don't have twenty TVs side by side to see when another TV has better blacks, this TV has a contrast ratio of 1:1,000,000 and I am very pleased with the picture. I haven't played with the picture settings much, so the settings that come with the TV are excellent. I am also happy with the sound; Yeah, no bass...they're TV speakers. Well, the TV looks amazing in standard definition (I was surprised because usually standard definition doesn't look good on these new 1080p TVs) and in high definition. I just did a 1080P preview on VUDU (didn't want to spend $$$ to watch more) and the TV looked amazing. I don't have a Blu-ray player because I don't like spending $$$ and I only subscribe to Netflix so I haven't even watched the DVD. I haven't tried HDTV over the air I live in NH where we only have 4 channels and two are yours...lol. Well, now the problems. While pairing the remote, I had the TV freeze for the first 5 hours of ownership. I had to call Vizio (upgraded to a level three tech), they told me how to reset the firmware by holding the power button on the TV for about 30 seconds but unplugged all the cables first (took about 45 minutes). Since then the TV has been working perfectly. I thought there would be a function to update the firmware...you know...because it can connect to the internet but I can't find it :(...I don't know if it's good). They work (but I don't see how to update)... So I read on the Internet. .. no i'm worried but it would be nice to insert a usb stick and watch the avi file... personally everyone cancels their cable service (my dream...lol) ok... i've had this tv for about 4 months now... after a firmware update (controlled by vizio under) TV never freezes or freezes after freezing ... mostly on HD channels but also happens on laptop and sometimes on SD channels i can tell when i turn on the elevator it freezes, when it happens it freezes, pressing the button is about thirty seconds. Usually it goes off but the visio flashes so I have to hold it again for about thirty seconds and eventually it goes back to normal but I had to do it sometimes. I have done this twice...it may take 5 minutes. I called Visio to solve the problem, I have an appointment on Tuesday, two people came to my house, they say that they will change the main board and the power supply. . I hope this solves the problem. My sister has a TRUE LED 42 and is having problems with the remote. I still have a Vizio 32"... I bought a refurbished 1080P model three years ago for $350 and it hasn't given me any problems. I still like the picture quality and will buy a new Vizio TV...yet...lol. I'm a glutton for punishment. Ok...this is the third one. It is an event. In my phone conversation with Vizon, they decided to replace the main board and power supply. This was done two or three weeks ago. Now the TV works perfectly. It never freezes, it works very fast when it turns on. I am very concerned that this TV freezes often and the problem persists for a long time. I thought I loved it even though he ignored it... Like I said it freezes every day or every other day sometimes twice a day.
