You know that great movie that flies on everyone's radar every year and ends with a lot of buzz and recognition? Yes, he fell asleep. I think this beautiful plasma could fall into this category, and for a number of reasons. First of all, this Samsung is aimed at people on a budget. Even in this tough economy, people are still willing to pay more for the latest in TV technology, regardless of the price. These are good credit cards and lines of credit. I only say trouble. Second, most people who do their research before buying a TV will read that you shouldn't buy a 720p TV (it's a Samsung) that isn't 50 inches or larger. That may have been true in the past, but not with this model. 720p looks amazing on this TV from any distance or viewing angle. I ended up knowing nothing about this plasma when I found it on eBay a few weeks ago. So I researched and researched and was able to find a few reviews that were included. I don't know if it's available now, but Samsung didn't even have this amazing plasma on their website back then. It's not an agreement. So yes, dreams can come true. This TV is the upgraded Model E, replacing last year's D-Class 450 and 490 models, as other reviewers on the net (not many reviews yet) have probably already pointed out (see reviews). I was considering buying a 43" D490 until I found this. I had a 47" LG Progressive 3D TV (model LW6500) and it broke in two months so I knew I needed another 3D TV. Try Samsung as I have always heard good things about it. At first I was intrigued by all the talk about active 3D and advanced 3D. When I bought an LG 3D 47 inch progressive, most of what I read said that progressive 3D was the future and the way to go, so I was skeptical about buying an active 3D plasma like this model from Samsung Leave that doubt and fear aside. I've seen Avatar, RE:Afterlife, Tron and Piranha in 3D and they're all incredibly impressive. Crystal clear and lots of depth. None of the flickering, ghostly imagery I've read. I don't know how active 3D screens are on other TVs, but the 3D on this model is superior to LG's progressive 3D. nothing negative to say about the 3D image. It is so good. Don't hear negative things about active 3D and 720p on larger plasma. This TV puts those claims in your face. Even out of the box, the picture looks great with a standard cable. It's not as visually impressive as the Blu-ray picture, but it's still good. It took me no more than 5 minutes to adjust with the remote to get the picture the way I wanted. I like that the remote is relatively small and not a big fridge :) The only negative thing I can say about the remote is that it's small so when you change channels it increases the volume etc. : You have to install it twice. Button: The remote control will turn on for the first time. It's frustrating if you're not used to it. And just building a character is not easy. It took less than 15-20 minutes to unbox the TV, install the stand and install everything. The sound of this Samsung is incredibly good. Almost every TV I've bought has bad sound out of the box. I don't remember Panasonic or Sharp looking very good. Too much TV to remember. In a small room (eg 12x12) the sound from this TV is quite good. One is large, and although it's a linear sound system, you can add a surround sound system. The sound options are something I haven't played with yet in the 12 days I've had them. I think that says a lot about the sound quality. Maybe I'll finally talk to him and see if there's any good bass waiting to be opened up. Unlikely ;) The black levels are the best I've seen on a plasma except for the high end $3000 they show at Best Buy. And then the blacks were just better. $3000 isn't much better. Of all the things I've studied about plasmas over the years, the biggest consensus on plasma picture quality has to do with black levels. I agree. Avatar and Tron colors (red, blue, etc.) are ridiculously realistic and super vibrant. Colors are excellent even on standard DVDs. I can't comment on how the picture looks in a bright room as I have mine in a dimly lit room (small lamp). 95% of these TV shows took place in the dark. The remaining 5% was with light. I don't see any difference in the picture when the light is on, except maybe a little light. The only "real gripe" I have with this TV is that it only has 2 HDMI inputs. But for me that's a minor complaint since I only need two and will probably have them for a while. I have a PlayStation 3 (also works as a Blu-ray player) and an Xbox 360 hooked up to it. I think if they release another game system in the future I will have to use the two above, that might be a problem. I know some people have a problem with this because for some reason they need 5 HDMI inputs. Also, I can't comment on this TV online because I won't mix it up with these things. I can't tell you (without looking) if this TV has an internet connection. I recently played Amalur and Uncharted 3 Kingdoms and it looks amazing with great sound. I've used this plasma for about 50 hours and never had any issues with image retention (screen burn) and can't believe it. This is my fourth plasma and I have played video games on all of them and had no issues with touch burn. I think this problem only gets worse when people don't use their ugly heads :) and just pause the movie or game for a long time. For those who shout loudly! If you're away from him for a long time, turn off the TV. Bottom line: Step into this TV early so you can tell it was there when you first fell asleep. . Seriously, this is no joke. Buy this nice little plasma screen from Samsung because you won't find a better TV at the price that can deliver this kind of picture, sound, look and feel. That's an incredible price for a 3D TV of this size. Especially with such an incredible character. Sure, you can spend $1,500 or $2,000 on a high-end TV, but you'll be a bit better off. Be smart. Save your money. Buy this TV. right now! Thanks a lot. It's what Sammy could ask for on TV and more. I give it 4.75 out of 5 or 9.5 out of 10. If you're looking for a Samsung device, you'll find plenty. Samsung makes great televisions. The proof could not be clearer... Update. I forgot to mention that the TV comes with 2 pairs of 3D Plus free with a new purchase. This incredibly sweet offering makes it even sweeter.

I have this TV on my porch and usually watch it at night. I saw the 3D stuff in the VUDU trailer and it's awesome. This is a 2012 model which can use new 3D glasses easily. TV for sony bluray player with wifi and i love it. My cable channels are excellent. It took me a few days to adjust to the size, but now I love it. Plasma. Prior to purchasing this TV, I was concerned about picture issues with plasma TVs. . The first week was no different. Turning off the TV for 10-15 minutes was no problem. There are black bars when streaming online like Netflix, but watching TV for hours with these bars was no problem.

This plasma does not disappoint. The picture is superior to any LED LCD for less money. Screen burn-in is not an issue when burn-in protection is enabled. There's even a cursor on the wipes screen, so if you see a faint line or outline when opening a set, just go to that menu and it will erase the marks. I'm on an HTPC so when I leave the computer on for a long time I notice the start button on the screen but uninstalling seems to magically fix it. Once the security is properly configured, it won't even detect signals from the home button. It's a big plasma.
