four Sony Bravia KDL-32EX720
Author: NinjaVithagun
I recently bought a Sony Bravia EX720 from a local electronics store (I prefer to buy basic electronics locally if I have to return and replace a defective item immediately) rather than Amazon. Overall, the TV is good but not great. Here is a short list of pros and cons of "in my opinion (IMO)": - LED LCD high-quality edge backlight - true support for 1080p 3D and high definition, but with some limitations - bright colors and contrast when shooting manually . Your time to adjust image parameters - built-in 3D transfer; You don't need to buy an external transmitter, which saves about $35 - the overall 3D effect is very good, but the best result can only be achieved when watching Blu-ray 3D movies - the built-in 3D option works well and is optional. NVidia 3D Vision or 3D games for PC without using 3DTV playback driver; This allows frame rates of up to 60fps without triggering a 24Hz (24fps) refresh rate - no visible 3D ghost effects, but you may have to manually adjust the depth effects - requires - 4 x HDMI 1.4 ports - ready to use internet connections - 6-degree pan and tilt correction - Directly compatible with Sony PS3 (not surprising since this is a Sony TV) - TV firmware can be updated, but internet connection required - TV weights 25 pounds - Very light and easy to move or attach to the wall. Screws that worry about pulling out the studs in the wall! - The hot keys on the remote control are very convenient and will save you time from digging through each sub-menu only when changing some functions Cons: - NO 240hz 3D TV; The specifications for this model on the Sony.com website list a refresh rate of "120Hz" (AMAZON needs to update the registration information for this TV now!) - you need to contact Sony customer service directly to find out which model. Sony 3D glasses are compatible with KDL-32EX720; Their website does not provide this information; The technical representative confirmed that the TGDBR100/B version is compatible with the KDL-32EX720; It is important to note that "B" represents "Bravia" as "B" :) - 3D @ 1080P display is limited to 24Hz and 30Hz?? 24Hz=24fps and 30Hz=30fps is not a problem for watching Blu-ray 3D movies (or watching 2D movies converted to 3D), but not acceptable if you want to play PC games on this TV. One of the reasons I bought it: it takes hours to make it the way you want it by hand; You need to go to "advanced settings" to change things like white balance, black level adjustment, edge adjustment, etc. - The price is slightly higher because it does not include 3D glasses or 240Hz refresh rate; Warning! These glasses cost $150 individually. Choose a universal power cable so that you can easily replace it if it breaks - it does not offer a universal remote control as the remote control is a bit bulky and bulky and allows you to control the TV; Unlike other remotes that allow you to control multiple devices, I like the universal remote feature because I can control my TV and Sony PS3 using my remote. I'm not sure that Sony will not allow this in addition to making a lot of money with their customers... not at all! lolbottomline: Your primary use of this TV will ultimately determine the final decision to buy or not. If you plan to watch Blu-ray and 3D movies on a regular basis and enjoy the convenience of built-in Internet features, this TV is a good choice, although it's a bit pricey if you have to pay an extra $150 for the 3D glasses. The picture quality when watching Blu-ray movies is very good and there are many options to customize the picture display as per your choice/preference. Consider adjusting the driver's seat on the new car you're looking to buy. You won't know the exact setting until you try it for a while, but once you get the hang of it, it's worth the trip. I don't recommend buying this TV if you plan to play heavy 3D PC games on it. I recommend new 27" and "true" 120Hz 3D monitors to be released by the end of the year. When using 3D mode on this TV, I decided to keep mine due to frame rate limitations. Alienware OptX AW2310. 3D computer monitor so you can use a PC to get a better 3D experience while gaming. A little about the hardware For those who think and don't want to compromise, I recommend waiting to buy this 240Hz or 480Hz TV version (not yet released) and even HDMI 1.5 with support for 3D (stereo) 1080P @ 60hz :) Overall, Sony Bravia KDL-32EX720 is a very good 3D TV, but It is not very good, but it seems like a "jack of all trades" but there is no one like a "master".

5 So I'm not talking about high-tech reviews.

*Update* May 19, 2011 I've had this TV for over a month and would like to report an update: picture: custom settings! Out of the box images are not the best quality. There's a bit of graininess, a real soap opera effect and a bit of stuttering with moving images. Each owner should adjust the settings according to their preference. It is also important to disable the ECO sensor - your TV will be brighter. I followed the user settings and reviewers on flatpanelshd.com and changed the settings to high settings like B gain and R gain for the best image output. From there I tinkered with other settings until I got the image I liked the most. Comparison: Two of my friends bought a 55-inch LG LW5600 and watched TV for a while. LG uses Passive 3D, so the glasses are very cheap and comfortable - I hate to say it, but overall 3D on TVs could look better. They also boast an 8 million to 1 contrast ratio, while the Sony EX720's is 2 million to 1. This means LG has a more vibrant color palette. But after fiddling with the settings, I was able to get a reasonable increase in color, and the image looked good on the Sony - you can't get the soap opera effect on the LG if you try. MotionFlow 240 seems to make a difference as I can see wrinkles on the faces of the world's most attractive people that I can't see on the LG. LG also has a lot of interference when watching sports, probably because of the 120Hz cable or the TV processor. Still a five-star rating for LG for crisp images and enhanced images with custom settings. The first review is below. *From April* Image: Excellent. Of course, I'm looking at a 37-inch LCD that's about 6 years old, so even seeing a pastel drawing on wax paper would be an improvement. But I watch ESPN HD, Avatar HD on HBO and other random stuff. No visible clouds (glare on the screen). I'm surprised that the movies and shows I've watched don't show any soap opera influence. Other images: Granted, this is not a "real" 240Hz TV. It's marketed as MotionFlow 240Hz, which basically means 120Hz, but it has technology developed by Sony to "bring the frame rate up to 240Hz". Still, I probably wouldn't notice the difference between 120 and 240 Hz. I wish the image was a little brighter, but adjusting the setting is very easy. Also, the black level is not as black as mine. When you watch many programs with a black screen, it still looks a little gray compared to the black border on the TV screen. It looks fantastic. You know how sometimes you're watching a DVD or TV show and the music and background sounds are too loud and the voices and dialogue are too quiet, so you have to turn the volume up to hear the dialogue, but then quickly turn it back down because what's loud music? does it scare you Not so with this TV. Apparently, it has a technology that detects conversation and automatically reduces background noise and improves the volume. There is also a real difference in quality when you change the sound setting to "S-Force Front Surround", that setting is more resonant. 3D: Oops! Well, there is a certain problem with cross talk, which is a term I know from many reviews. You will see double image in some places but all TV reviews I read have this problem because it is new technology. My DirecTV offers four 3D channels, one of which is the Wildlife Channel, which broadcasts programs about dinosaurs, marine life, and aliens. I spent about four hours watching this channel and now I know a lot of random facts about dinosaurs, sea life and aliens. I invited three people and the four of us watched this channel for hours. There is a segment in an ocean documentary where a school of fish can be seen just a few meters away from the screen. And a monstrous brontosaurus came into the living room: I wanted to punch him. Even in large landscapes, the depth perception is impressive. Remote Control: Unbelievably awesome. I don't know why, but the quick response of the remote control makes me very happy. I had a time warner cable tv and it was really bad when you press a button on the remote and nothing happens and then 15 seconds later everything you press happens at once. DirecTV is good, but still lags sometimes. But this TV and its built-in remote control are like lovers reaching orgasm at the same time. There are no lags and the on-screen interface is very easy to use and navigate even for the most experienced users. Interface and Settings: Fantastic. Navigating through the settings is intuitive and easy - very similar to the PS3 interface. Everything is structured in a human way and clearly written, so even a girl can use it without any problems. Even small features like naming different display inputs and adding icons? So now when I switch the display mode between DVD, DirecTV and Xbox it actually shows the titles on the screen and the icon I selected is there! W00T! And changing settings is a piece of cake. You can access many key settings (such as display, sound, etc.) directly from the show you're watching through the menu. Wireless and Internet Apps: It doesn't have built-in Wi-Fi, but I connected it directly to my router with a network cable. Made up. I have good connection speed with Youtube, Qriocity and Hulu. My only complaint is that typing can take a bit of getting used to the weird alphanumeric pattern you get when typing something on the phone's numeric keypad.

3 Bad 2D TV is not the best option for 120Hz or 3DHDTV.

Update March 30, 2011: Amazon has removed the 240Hz label from the product name, but not the "in the box" part. Since this 120Hz product is no longer mistakenly advertised as 240Hz, I have changed the rating. Warning: Possible switches connected to this TV. Warning: On 03/24/2011 I noticed on the Sony Style website that the EX720 is now only 120Hz instead of the advertised 240Hz. I hope this is a typo on Sony's part, otherwise this is a serious case of misleading advertising. Great black layer. Semi-gloss screen (combination of gloss and matte). Colors are a bit washed out, less brightness. Some colors appear washed out and a bit less bright even at the most vivid settings. It might have something to do with the minimal backlighting. The EX720 may not be Sony's best HDTV offering for 2011, but for its features and capabilities... I'd say it's a real contender. Note: The North American EX720 is assembled in Mexico and the current LCD panel is the same one used by Samsung. This may or may not be a problem for some TV buyers. HDTV is not 240Hz as advertised, but 120Hz. In 3D, you only get a 60Hz experience (120Hz divided by 2.60Hz per eye for stereoscopic).
