5 Good TV for the price, but it disables cinema mode!
Dr. Nick
Pros: Good quality and value for money. Photos look great! The Wireless N easily connects to my 5GHz router. Netflix looks good. Cons: Video mode is enabled by default in advanced picture settings and causes a lot of movement and pixel blur, but this can be easily fixed (see below). Most Edge-Lit LED models have a problem known as "Blooming" because the backlight is reflected from the side. On the other hand, the Edge-Lit model can be thinner, lighter and use less power. However, if you're not used to this kind of browsing, it can be annoying. In normal, brightly lit scenes, the picture is simply fantastic. However, during darker scenes you will see blooming and it will be worse than with higher LED lighting. Flowers appear in a darker scene around the edges of darker objects on the screen. It looks like a halo of navy blue, purple, and shades of grey/black. This is actually due to light bleeding from lighter objects around. You can play around with the LED lighting until you find a fun environment (see my setup below). Review: I bought a Sharp Aquos Quattron 60" LED/LCD 240Hz LC-60LE832U at Costco in December 2012 for $1699. The poor quality picture standard makes things a bit fake, like a soap opera. There are also a few reviews on this site and others, who complain about problems with juddering, blurry fast moving scenes, objects and pixels at the edges of moving objects, this should not be as it supports a 240Hz refresh rate, which means that fast motion should be smooth and crisp, the refresh rate also depends on the source you are watching such as SD, HD or BluRay.I have also experienced motion blur, artifacts, pixelation and ripples around faster moving objects.I contacted Aquos Advantage support and they asked when the video mode was enabled.said that it should only be used on very low quality video sources to increase cropping and framerate.ebut because it should The video must not be processed before it can be displayed. Disabling video mode solved all my problems with fast motion. Fast scenes are now really smooth and crisp. I tested it on SD and HD channels (including sports) and BluRay movies and they all look great. I also experimented with image settings that removed the soap opera effect. Now everything looks great and my picture settings are: AV Mode: Standard OPC: Off. Brightness: +1 to +5 (the higher the value, the more colors in dark scenes) Contrast: +31 Brightness: + 5 Colors: 0 Colors: + 5 Sharpness: + 5 Advanced Picture Settings: Color Temperature: Motion height increase: 120Hz High (AquoMotion 240Hz actually causes some dimming in color and brightness, and a bit of instability in fast moving scenes. Better HD sources like Blu-Ray recording at 60Hz with a maximum of 29.37 fps. Above 60Hz, images need to be processed to add data between frames to make fast motion smoother and clearer.) Quad Pixel Plus: Contrast On. On: On Range setting: 0 Video mode: Digital Off Noise Reduction: Monochrome High: Off off incl. Of course, you can always change the settings to your liking. I also recommend upgrading to the latest HDMI 1.4a cable that supports high speed (10.2Gbps or higher), Ethernet, 3D, Audio Return Channel (ARC), and 4K resolution. You don't have to pay high prices at the electronics store for quality cables. You can buy high quality cables at low prices from MediaBridge on Amazon (see my published review of these cables). Also, if you are using a Home Theater Receiver (HTR) and all your video sources are connected to it, I recommend disabling video processing on the HTR. This TV works best when the video signal can pass through the HTR without processing.

5 Good picture, bad sound.
From Arjuna
I went to Costco a month ago and saw a new TV. I have lived with a Samsung DLP 50 inch 720p which works great. I looked at this 60" TV and the pictures are great. I spent some time comparing it to other kits, many of which were much more expensive. This one and this 70" Big Brother are the best so far. It's not even a competition. I brought it home, mounted it on a swivel stand on my bedroom ceiling, and plugged it into my 6.1 audio receiver. Results: Impressive. The even black level on this TV is what makes it stand out. With a contrast ratio of 6 million to one, images almost jump out of the screen. The 4 Quattron a colors provide vibrant colors without oversaturation. Wi-Fi is a plus, NetFlix has never sounded as good as this kit. FEATURES: I then tried the sound of the TV's built-in speakers and found they were sorely lacking. Of course, this unit is only 1-5/8 inches thick, so it's hard to find good speakers in such a limited space. You may want to equip this TV with some kind of external sound system.

5 Ouch!

I bought this TV for sale at a membership club for $1599. It is easy to install and much lighter than I expected when I mounted it on the wall. The screen is large and the bezels are small, and it looks good with HD sources on. The colors are so vibrant that my kids watch Rio BluRay like they've never seen it hundreds of times before.
