Why we bought this TV and our first impressions
From De Lis
We've had this TV for 4 days now and couldn't be happier! I'm writing a follow-up to our initial impressions and will now combine it for easy reading. We've really benefited from all the feedback and advice other people have had on writing it, so we wanted to get it off the ground first, a little background: Background and skill set: We're a TV family, averaging 20 hours of cable a week. using TV and DVD tools; No game. We were replacing our 10 year old Samsung Tube frog which was very reliable. We did a lot of research before buying the lg 50PZ950, but we're not that familiar with A/V stuff in general. The reason I'm telling you all of this is because it's important to know the reference base (in our case mid-low) and the context (going from a CRT to a flat screen). Our reviews may not be suitable for all readers. Why Plasma: For sports, the lack of motion blur makes my husband happy, and the rich, immersive nighttime movie experience makes me happy. Our only LCD experience is with an iMac, and while we watch movies on the excellent (intact and sharp) Mac, it doesn't have the rich, deep "shooting" feel of a plasma. IMO, anyway. Why 3D: To be honest, we don't care for 3D, but every now and then we thought it might be fun, so why not? Why Infinia: Like many people in our price range (around $1,600), we were torn between Panasonic and Samsung. Based on Consumerreports.org reviews of last year's model, we included the lg infinia. All three have high ratings. All at one point of each other. Also, progress at CES 2011 was very promising. We were pretty sure we couldn't go wrong with any of the three brands. In the end, two factors were decided: appearance and user interface. Lavigne looks beautiful: bright or dim. The user interface is simple and straightforward. Why we buy from Amazon: We've always loved Amazon, especially their customer service. And in this case, no more. The first PZ950 we got broke down. Fortunately, Amazon uses a special delivery service - they strip the TV so we can deliver it. The cobweb was not visible until the device was turned on. They were an instant hit and Amazon was able to get another one soon, just in time for my husband's day. Thank you Amazon! And thank you for Home Direct. Well, now our impressions based on 4 days love this TV... Picture: Picture quality is excellent. Better than I wanted. Deep blacks, rich and realistic colors. A lot of depth. Sometimes it looks almost 3D when it's not 3D. Great detail in HD... and definitely less than SD (Standard Definition). Today's program: Our group is in a very bright room (many windows facing south). Our main concern before purchasing the kit was daylight glare. There seems to be no problem. Yes, the screen is reflective when off, but the reflections are off when on Side Note 3.17: Watched TV today for the first time in full sun (midday) - I can see reflections of myself and everything in the room. It's not so bad that you can't comfortably look at the handle, but I wanted to let you know that it's a deal breaker for you. FYI, we have a large 6' uneven south facing bay in this room, flooding the entire room with direct afternoon sunlight. I still like this TV and reflections are not a problem for us, but I wanted you to know. A fully immersive experience while watching movies at night. Audio: The sound quality is excellent and the Clear Voice II feature has been particularly useful for the hearing impaired for some time. And automatic audio adjustment keeps you from being distracted by ads. 3D: Well, I bought the wrong glasses, so we haven't seen 3D yet. But based on Consumerreport.org's release rating from last year (50PX950) and other reviews of this year's models, I know it's going to be great. FYI you need the LG AGS250s, not the AGS110s Remote: Comes with two remotes: traditional (backlit) and magic wand. I didn't think we would use chopsticks, but we do; This is beautiful. In addition to being an on-screen indicator, it also becomes the main buttons: power on/off, home, volume control, channel vibration and select. Simple, intuitive and fun. Media http://amzn.com/dp/B004LAEKBU/? tag = {komponelektr-20}: This is great! Let's access all the photos on your computer wirelessly, all the music in iTunes Photos and more looks better than Picasa. There's also Smart Share (which we haven't used yet) that lets you import via USB drive Note for MAC users: nero mediahome 4 is essential on the TV, but it only works with a PC. Go to the Plex website, click on LG Private, Mac Download, Other - MediaLink works perfectly. APPS: We didn't use many third-party apps, except for Google Maps (great on the big screen) and pixa (fun for looking at friends' photos). The TV also has Netflix, Cinema Now, Vudu, Napster, Viewster, Amazon, NBA, MLB, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, AP, V Tuner, iPlay, Fun Spot and AQ Weather. Also, there are some LG apps that are seriously underutilized (no offense, LG); The selection will definitely improve over time Calibration: We have not calibrated the TV. Partly because we don't know how, but mostly because we're so happy. Blacks are deep, colors are rich, but not overpowering. There is an interesting feature that allows you to create and save combinations of your favorite settings. Filming cycle: We are very excited about the first 100 hours. Some debate whether this is necessary, but why the opportunity? In addition, it is not difficult to limit the display of static images or adjust the brightness and contrast. It might be better to hack. FYI, it's easy to track the total hours you've seen so far: settings, support, product info... gives you total hours. From time to time. LG Service: First we encountered a problem when using the wireless dongle (included). A call to LG (1-800-243-0000), it turned out that the problem was mine - the TV did not give time to update the software. When the group says "Don't block me", don't...or the update won't complete. When the update is complete, the TV turns itself off and then turns on again. Thanks to LG for guiding me through this. Also... I suggest you download the manual from the lg website before the tv arrives to learn how to handle it (lift, hold, etc.), where to put it, etc. If you buy this TV, I hope you like it as much as we do.

Great TV when it works...love Amazon...hate the charger they use
From John the Great
First, I want to warn anyone involved in the distribution scam that the demo trucks are pulling Amazon and its customers. My TV was shipped to your mall in Atlanta and arrived April 4th...estimated delivery April 8th. At 16:00 to see what happened they said they no longer had the TV, another company JPHall took it for the last delivery. Well I called Hole on TV... I have a truck in my area next Tuesday the 12th and the following Thursday the 14th... Of course I chose Tuesday. On Monday I got a call from Hall saying that the van was in Athens with my TV but the attendant was sick and they would drop it off that day if they could help get it out. Because of his bad health, they had to say, it is not possible, they said that they will bring him tomorrow. Well, there's no TV on Tuesday. The driver is waiting for someone to help him, the driver called me around 5 and said that the guy didn't come and I asked him again if I can help, again I said no and he promised me the first Wednesday. Today around 4pm no tv, no help in call room, no delivery...Thursday...told them I had to go home for 4 days and needed Thursday afternoon as I had plans for the afternoon. They said...the truck shows up at ten o'clock Thursday morning...no help, just a driver. The TV I helped remove, dismantle and set up... Thankfully the room was still intact after over a week with 3 different trucks... After talking to the driver I regretted putting the driver through this situation. . They see they don't have 2 people in the truck to white glove Amazon, they try to contact another driver to do it, so they keep asking me for help. 6 months ago, they brought 2 kilos of sticks in a big truck with 2 men. The delivery receipt I signed was a proof receipt, so Amazon thought they had delivered it. I have contacted Amazon about this and they are shocked and concerned that their customers will receive this kind of service. They apologized for the inconvenience and gave me a large amount of money. This will solve the problem. I love Amazon service. Now for the LG60PZ950 I've done a lot of research on LCD monitors...LCD backlit and plasma TVs...DLP has been phased out after a 4 year struggle with Samsung DLP which just died. I finally chose a plasma...chosen from three original brands...Samsung...Panasonic and LG. Samsung gave up because of poor service, poor DLP design and loud stories...Panasonic was my main candidate until I heard about color issues with the devices, but seeing LG, Panasonic and Samsung at the same time convinced me. .LG lost all accounts for me. So glad I bought this TV...best picture I've ever seen as good or better than my friends Pioneer. Colors were accurate out of the box. I broke it, if I really need it? 5 days 24/7 with THX setup on HBO HD movie channel...no problem. picture quality is great... I got 3D for my 11 year old son and it's great... PS3 has a firmware update so you can watch 3D bluray discs and play great 3D games. Netflix offers a 3D disc sent to your home, not much yet, but definitely waiting for more... Connect the TV to my DSL device... Update the TV program (about an hour) The teacher gave more programs... Now there are about 12 programs and more games...browser works fine but my pc will probably use it faster than my pc...use the optical out to connect my receiver to the 5.1 optical audio input when watching movies...useful for setup. Built-in speaker is good for everyday use ... But the surround sound system makes it a kiloliter ... money. The money Amazon gave me was almost free. LG60PZ950 and we will recommend it to everyone... 22/04/2011 Update... Well I tried to download Netflix on LG. I received an activation number from the TV going to Netflix and the number was activated...successfully. …but when i click on netflix on lg app shows error…repeat 10 ब्र्र्ताक्रार्रा…किकी किकी किकी they said not netflix… Here if you want to know about LG service then what happened… To LG I called within 3 minutes. I was talking to ReP service...it was 10am on Wednesday and they said they would have the LG tech certified at my house on Friday. He called at 12:30 from 12 to 5 and was here at 13. Tried or updated Netflix before...told I need to order a new panel to control it and if it doesn't work or takes too long to turn on they will replace my TV with a new one...rest of TV still perfect just no netfix connection. ..lg service got 5 stars from me...very fast and efficient nothing like samsung war...netflix? Any new owner can try activation before TV firmware update... Big JohnUpdate 09/05/2011... Find what's on Netflix... Nothing to do with TV... Stupid ATT stats DSL speed about 26 downgraded to alpha so netflix won't load...and after going back to 1.5 everything worked great...after a month I like to keep programs on my tv..especially MLB baseball..some clicks and I'm watching the game I want.. I found that 3d anime movies are also much better than regular movies..my son loves 3d PS3 games.. .the only bad thing is that the remote magic wand takes a new set of batteries in only 4 days like 3 sessions. (might be a defective unit) the one that came with it works great and no battery issues....... I'm so glad I bought this LG device... Big Johnupdate 09/07/2012 Hi, After a year and a half on my LG device, the color and there is a shadow problem... The face is green, the face is red. shit and colors in stock... that's the way to get a tv for this price soon for these problems. At the moment they seem to be out of 1 year (warranty) and it's over.. I started the Samsung DLP which died too soon, this time I got a 4 year trade box warranty, I'll see how it goes.... I've downgraded this TV because of this. .. Big Johnupdate 01/12/12 Well we'll see square is good... last night LG completely died,,,, screen down alt, pale. Moved, no pics no shine ... Dead stone ... अधअधाा आआक फान ... आय 25 years still kicking back in my nursery... longest 2 60 inches I bought was two years old... good square trade i claimed with let's see what happens... PS.. i hate extended warranty but with these big tv's you can get it for 4 years if you can!

nice
By Miles Madison
After going through various reviews, forums and everything I could find about the latest and greatest of 2011, I narrowed my search down to the Panasonic GT30/VT30 or LGPZ950. I've seen great things about the Panasonic VT30, but the new LG has many of the same features and a few extra features. The price was right and within reach, although the Panasonic had to go before it even went on sale, so I caved and ordered the LG. I am very happy. This TV is amazing. installation was very easy. The kit looks great. elegant and smooth. The picture is as good as I've seen or better. Both 2D and 3D look amazing, and when watching 3D, I never got sick of seeing other TVs, apps and media sharing the great features, like in cinemas or supermarkets. The user interface on the main screen is very easy to navigate. ব্ট্র কুত্ত সিযু কুক কুক্ক্ল After unboxing everything works. Built-in Netflix and YouTube are a nice touch, not to mention all the other apps for your social media. I don't know how much I'll use this thing because it's so easy to watch on a PC, but being able to do it on your TV is nice. A web browser is fine, it certainly won't replace your laptop or PC, but if you don't want to get up and switch to your other technology to search for something or send an update, it's good enough, I'm very happy with this purchase. It may be on your honeymoon, but it's definitely more than just a bargain for you. Congratulations from LG on a great TV at a very reasonable price
