It's a great projector, but you have to understand what it's for and you should be very happy with it. That's what you don't expect from this projector or any other small projector. Very bright, clear picture in a room with lots of light. None of these monitors will do this. However, you can expect surprisingly bright light in a dark or dim room. I did a lot of research on these projectors and it wasn't my first choice. I bought a Microvision SHOWWX + HDMI Laser Pico Projector (AA0123600-020) because it seemed to me the best option, it was an autofocus laser. It was actually a great projector, but the image shown looked very fake and you can constantly see small flashes of red, blue and green in the image. The image was clear, but the sparks were lousy, and the image looked like a laser image made with red, blue, and green lasers. This projector also had to be used in very dark rooms in order to see the projection, otherwise it was already blurry. I was very disappointed with the image quality of this projector. However, it was very compact and did a great job, so I left it. Unfortunately this monitor was stolen the first week I received it. So I had to take another one. No way would I get the Micro Vision again. So I started looking around again. This time I know that 20 microscope candles were not enough. I also wanted HDMI. That's why I chose the AAXA monitor. What a good choice it turned out to be. It was about three times the size of Microvision, but was still small, about the size of two decks of cards. The large size was not a problem due to the image quality. It was so much better than Microvision that I couldn't believe my eyes. It had better handling, cleaner connections and all the cables that come with it. One feature you can't live without is a tripod stand on a projector of this size. Cables are heavier than a projector and will move anywhere without a tripod to mount it. Microvision didn't have a tripod, which was a terrible oversight on the manufacturer's part. I plug it in to watch movies on my iPod or play games on my iPad. It connects to my camcorder, digital camera and even my PlayStation. Anything with a video output will work with this monitor. It's also $100 cheaper than Microvision. You won't be disappointed.

I bought this monitor after one failed attempt with another company. I received it at the time. I bought it from another site because it wasn't on Amazon at the time. I put him in a tent. Something for the kids to watch in the evening while the adults do their work. We hung up white paper and tied it up. The image above was huge. The first night I removed the battery, we only passed dinosaurs until they died. The next night we had a power outage there. I turned on the external speaker because we were outside and knew it would require more noise. We had s'mores and the only thing missing that night was popcorn. Very easy to use and I would do it again.

Although the colors are not as balanced as expected from the Optoma PK-201, mainly due to moderate contrast, the quality is still good. I would never recommend the Optoma PK series such as the PK-201 and PK-301 due to flaws in micromonitor temperature management that cause microprocessors to burn out. Stay away from the Optoma PK line until they redesign their projectors. The P3's native resolution of 1024 x 600 is a little tricky to use in practice, and is mostly limited to netbooks. The AAXA P3 has cables for several accessories as well as an AC adapter. My only gripe with the cables is the lack of an HDMI cable, but AAXA includes a SHORT VGA cable, i.e. ~2 feet, which needs to be extended another 2 feet. I advise the owner to use the VGA connector instead of the HDMI connector if it is possible to connect the P3 to a computer. Since the 2" VGA cable is not long enough, you will need to find or buy a 6" VGA cable to extend the short VGA cable provided by AAXA. Note that the AAXA VGA cable uses a 15-pin VGA male connector, so plan accordingly. Since I already have a 6" male VGA cable, I bought a 15-pin to female adapter to connect the two cables to the P3. The main desktop has a native resolution of 18020x1920x1920. Personally, I use a 1024 x 600 P3 window to display my media software, especially MythTV and XBMC, on a 40 x 40 resolution screen. *For this reason, I wanted the highest resolution at an affordable price. I would settle for lower brightness and warmth in exchange for higher resolution and reliability. For now, the AAXA P3 seems like the right device. The P3's controls are large enough to be operated by a human finger and are located on the top of the device within easy reach. The remote can turn the P3 on and off, but the remote is a mess so it will take some familiarity with the buttons to use effectively. Also, the owner will have to experiment a bit to get the remote to work properly on the P3, as the infrared sensor appears to be on the back of the P3. In most cases where the back of the P3 is a few feet from the wall and the trigger is next to the P3, simply flip the remote on the wall behind the P3 for reliable operation. While I can hear the fan running, I just hope the thermal design is much better than the Optoma PK series as I want to keep the P3 for a few years. Although I don't have audio test equipment, I think the fan is at least 40 dB at about 3 feet away. If you can clearly hear the fan running, look elsewhere. Personally, I'd put up with fan noise if the machine's heat didn't burn out any ICs. The AAXA P3 is slightly larger than I prefer, but it's acceptable. The length and width are good, but the 1.4-inch depth is a little too big for a small projector. Personally, I prefer 0.9 to 1.1 inch thickness for an accurate projector, but not at the expense of poor thermal management. In the current situation. When using LED technology, I prefer to limit the brightness when used in small projectors for reliability reasons. Please note that AAXA P3's 50 lumens brightness is much higher than its actual tested 35 lumens brightness in the environment, 35 lumens is enough to display an image. Diagonal from 40 to 50 inches. Brightness is actually 20 lumens when running on P3 battery. In any case, I try to run Remove P3 for at least 1 hour every 3 hours to let the device cool down. You personally. You would think that the amount of heat generated when testing 30-50 lumens LEDs is close to the current limit for small projectors when continuously running for several hours. If the owner only wants to use a small project for a short presentation of about 30 minutes, the AAXA P4x may be suitable, but there is a risk of premature failure due to increased brightness if continuous operation lasts several hours. While the P3 doesn't have an SD card slot, it does have a mini USB slot, as well as a cable to convert the mini USB slot to a normal USB slot. I have successfully used this cable to connect a SanDisk ImageMate 5-in-1 USB Card Reader to my P3 with great results. P3 plays most MP4 formats, so most files using this container will likely work just fine. While I haven't tested this feature, I don't think P3 currently plays encrypted WebM (VP8) files, unfortunately. Since P3 includes the ability to upgrade the firmware, it is possible that a future version of P3 will allow additional formats to be played. I can't comment on battery life at the moment, but I'll bring it up in the comments when I can test it properly. I have enjoyed my experience with P3 so far. * In the next few weeks I will add an image gallery for AAXA P3.
