I received this television late last week (06/02/11). The kit looks great. I ordered a 52 inch Samsung 7000 series plasma screen a few months ago and returned it. It emits a lot of heat! Plasma also had an afterimage. If you watch ESPN for twenty minutes and change channels, you may see the shadow of the ESPN logo for several minutes. The plasma also experienced a slight hum. However, the plasma is properly separated. After returning the plasma I decided I didn't want the logo and letterbox (the widescreen black boxes on the top and bottom) to dictate what I was watching. I knew I needed an LED backlit LCD screen from the major manufacturers (Samsung, Sony, LG, Sharp). The Sony prices were a bit ridiculous and didn't look good in department stores compared to other brands: buy one if you really want to pay more for a Sony logo to impress your friends (hope you don't have friends (so, life is too short) ...Samsung TVs seem to have a "strange" problem and I'm not impressed with the Samsung Plasma. This set has gotten great reviews and the 52" size is perfect! The TV is bright (backlight needs to be dimmed a bit from factory settings) and looks great, no "judder" or "Fog" noticed so far . Colors are very accurate and apps like Netflix are great. The TV has built-in Wi-Fi, no USB Wi-Fi device required! Blacks are too dark for an LED and viewing angles are too wide. If want a quality TV from a leading manufacturer, this set is perfect and at a good price.

four Good TV

Let me start by saying that I fell in love with this TV when I first saw it online. At that time all ratings were 4-5 stars, no complaints, etc. I first saw it on Amazon for $1,450 and thought it seemed like a steal for a 52-inch 3D LED TV. I have a Sharp 32" TV in my room, it's old and I've loved it for 5 years, it's still fantastic but I want to mention a few things about this TV as some reviews don't mention it they don't understand. although this TV is LED it's Edgelit .LED which means it will bleed very little but that's what allows it to be so thin and damn it's small! Perfect for wall hanging! I'll focus on some details. The edges of the screen in the dark images look perfect without any issues, in the bright images you can see that there is a bit more glare on the left and right and no one noticed until I pointed it out. (I'm very detailed so I can see everything) This is no reason not to buy a TV it is very light and again in dark photos (which I found funnier than expected) there is no blurring at the edges. The floating light effect that some people see is similar to the one above.I think that this may be common for edge lights, but is very subtle and only noticeable if some modes are set to bright image only. I haven't set anything up manually yet, I'll calibrate with a Disney Wow disc when I order, but I'm sure everything will be fine after that. Overall, I think the LED 3D TV is a fair price. There are many features for the network (which Wi-Fi installs without a problem and works great). However, aside from the minor things mentioned above, my only other complaint that won't stop me from buying again because for the price I can't find anything better than a plasma is that it's not true 240hz because Amazon and Sharp do it. This TV runs at 120Hz and has 120Hz high, low and 240 Aquomotion settings. 240 Aquomotion isn't really 240 Hz, it's 120 Hz on the display side and 120 Hz on the LED or something. According to Sharps, "AquoMotion 240 technology enhances fast-moving images by combining Sharp Fine Motion Enhanced at 120Hz and backlit scanning with 120 Fine Motion Advanced Processing that generates and embeds 60 unique frames per second, smoothing edges between frames. works with the panel's refresh rate to further reduce perceived motion blur and improve clarity and overall image quality." I really haven't been able to test the 3d, as the glasses and new models just came out, they are not in stores yet, and I especially don't want to buy old ones. shop on Amazon after 1:00am ET or on weekends, shop late. Prices have dipped into the mid-1300s and should recover soon. Also be careful because Amazon only price matches one time So I thought they would match their price but even though they have worked with me several times they said it was a one time item so keep that in mind when use!, I'd say it's still a good TV for the price, although it does sound a bit noisy at 240Hz. You won't find a 52" 3D TV at this price. Only plasma. Another small complaint I forgot to add is that the semi-glossy screen can have reflections. Maybe not as bad as plasma, but that was unexpected. I I'd give it a B+ on the autofocus scale. If it's really bright at 240Hz, then A, for example, it's smooth again, and it's all so small that I don't mind if you tweak the settings. There's a more visible flashlight. It seems like when it broke some of them glowed and now I can see them through some pictures. I read online that many people have this problem, but not many. However, I contacted Amazon and they placed a new order no questions asked and the couriers took it from the plug.I also noticed that I had 2 pixels stuck on the tv.They are also yellow but can't be seen from 2 feet or more as they are small.Hope my young man not be stuck (even though I wouldn't say) and the flashlight is gone or even less. It seems that when you turn on the TV for the first time, the flashlight is not visible, but after about an hour it turns on at full brightness. When I *crossed my fingers**** the update*** on 7/11/11 a new TV arrived. The box didn't look the best, which bothered me (not Amazon's fault). Anyway, I understood everything. It has the same problem with the flashlight, but less, but still there. I hope they won't be brighter this time. On the other hand, it has absolutely no stuck or damaged pixels, while the old one had some yellow pixels. (Not that I can see them more than 2 feet away and I wouldn't associate them with much unless you can see them 2 feet or more). Like I said, a little flash is expected on this type of TV and it also depends on your lighting. They don't show the first hour you turn them on, about an hour later they start showing up. I can see them after I turn it on for an hour, then switch it to auto mode (so it doesn't go dark) and turn off the cable box so the screen is blank. They are habitable and can be adjusted better with recalibration. Another advantage is that Amazon has a lot to offer now. Buy this TV from them before the end of July and you'll also get two free 3D glasses!! That's an additional $160 in savings! Just add them to your cart when you buy your TV. This TV is not standard, but Amazon makes a GOOD SET, this TV is even more standard! So after all that, would I buy this TV again? Yes! It's still a great value and a good image. My only gripes continue to be the flickering light (only noticeable after an hour and very minor, no one will notice until I look), the semi-glossy screen, and the confusing 240Hz since it's not really that 120 Hz. Still, it's a great buy. You still can't find anything with these features at this price. It has great apps, built-in Wi-Fi (no keys to play or buy, not even like some Samsungs) and connects to the internet without a problem! Buy a TV to get free specs and get it before the end of July! You won't regret it. And with Amazon, if you have a problem, they'll work with you, no questions asked. So you see some people have line issues or something other than an email or a phone call, and Amazon will take care of you. This is why I buy from Amazon and not BestBuy or Walmart. Great prices, great selection and great customer service!

5 wonderful tv

Purchased from Modia via Amazon. Delivery was quick and hassle free. The TV is beautiful, slim and very light. The image was straight out of the box and with a little tweak it's just amazing. I watched basketball and Game of Thrones and was impressed. After a quick firmware update via ethernet cable, TV connected to standard set-top box (HDMI), DVD player (HDMI), Wi-Fi (component), checked all internet services and everything worked as stated. I love the dlna feature, it works great with windows media player and links to my library on my computer. You can watch movies, listen to music or view photos. The sound is not bad for a TV, but of course you need to connect to a surround sound system. I haven't tested Wi-Fi or 3D yet. I'll update as soon as I get a second to test. Conclusion: I went from 32 inches without changing the viewing distance. I think I'm really enjoying HDTV now, the detail and clarity is amazing. I highly recommend this TV
