Product Description
It's time to snuggle up to the TV. Is it time to upgrade to a big screen TV? This Samsung is not only bigger, but also has better picture and sound. Get ready for a better experience with high-end TVs.
This year, it's time to expand your vision with a bigger HDTV screen. If you want the best viewing experience, who knows, stop and get a Samsung. The UN40ES6003 40-inch 1080p LED TV has two built-in full-range and downward-firing speakers with a total power of 20W (two 10W speakers). The HDTV is Dolby Digital Plus/Dolby Pulse certified. Essentially a new breed, DD+ and Listen to DP Less Desirable Audio Music Originally designed to improve the sound quality of online music sources, the technology now boosts the output of your speakers and TV, so even small speakers can play great sound.
The TV also features SRS TheaterSound HD to provide multi-channel sound. Another technology offered by Samsung is Wide Color Enhancer Plus. This provides sharper color reproduction and lower saturation for greater definition. Even in fast-moving scenes, the images retain a natural tone and clarity.
The sleek design and stunning HD picture make the ES6003 LED series a delight for any TV lover. Full HD 1080p resolution and crisp 240fps action ensure realistic action in every frame.
Clear Motion Rate (CMR) was developed to accurately measure the ability of an LCD or LED TV to display fast-moving images. LED TVs with CMR 240 can display motion-rich motion with crisp detail and deep contrast while eliminating image distortion.
With Wide Color Enhancer Plus, you can see the entire RGB spectrum come to life on your screen, creating exceptionally vivid yet natural images that match the filmmaker's original intent.

Works as good as it looks

I bought this for my husband's garage and couldn't be more impressed. Keep these few things in mind when buying this TV. This is a TV that needs to be paired with a receiver. There are only two HDMI inputs, so make sure your receiver can handle all the inputs you need. If you are wall-mounting, make sure the brackets that connect to the TV are no wider than 2 inches. If so, the power cord will not connect. However, there are professionals here. Hanging it on the wall was like hanging a picture. I could get up and be alone. It weighs just 23 pounds without the stand. The picture is clear and the design is simple and elegant. The bezels aren't very wide, so you'll be looking at the screen most of the time. Everyone is impressed by the thinness of the TV. Perfect for what I need. I wouldn't recommend this as a primary TV as it's not big enough...look for a 46 inch TV or larger! Update... I've had this TV for about a month with no problems. I will help you with your decision before I buy, I spent a lot of time researching the features and prices of many brands. The main reason I spent time looking into this TV was the price. I've seen great deals on Panasonic TVs, but I don't have experience with Panasonic TVs before I think because this TV is not a smart TV and doesn't have 3D, the price is a bit low, so consumers are so excited about these features that TVs without them fall in price. I don't need the features, but I want what this TV has to offer. Slim, light, reasonably priced, with a good contrast ratio and simple design, I'd prefer 240Hz, but since this TV has the Samsung 240 motion feature and it's a backup TV, I'm going with 120Hz. I have 120hz and no smart options are borrowed. I hope this TV is 2 years old, but it will last 4-6 years.

So far so good!

I like this TV. I did a lot of comparing and got the specs I really needed but didn't want to pay the high price. Finally switched from an old tube TV and it was worth the wait I wanted a LED TV I wanted a too thin 1080p minimum 40 inches from a brand with good picture quality and I don't want to spend a lot of money it's good. Most LED TVs are thick and thin, usually high-end TVs that are very expensive. TVs were out of my budget so I wanted to buy the nearest and cheapest TV. This TV is a "smart" TV. No, but honestly there are other ways to get the same functionality as a smart TV with a Roku or Apple TV, so I thought I could add it later if I wanted to, but technology and the evolution of TVs change so much right now soon i have a lot to spend i guess i will wait and see where they go and the prices come down a bit. Who knows, maybe one day Apple will release a full-fledged Apple TV...! It is important to note that when I bought this TV I thought it looked very strange and bad and I was disappointed and thought I was wrong. Things were blurry, out of focus, and everything including movies and dramas looked like a cheap reality show or documentary. I did some setup research and needed to change the input resolution on my decoder which was set from 480 dpi to 1080. Then I discovered the "soap opera effect" caused by the Auto Motion Plus setting. Once I found this option in the image options and turned it off, the strange effect went away and everything looked fine. I changed some colors and other options and with those changes things improved a lot. I think this only applies to LED TVs above 120Hz. If I hadn't found the Auto Motion Plus sensor and experienced the soap opera effect, I think they would have tried to return the TV.

very nice set
according to EMLG
I've had the TV for a week now and I have to say it's pretty good. Nothing a Samsung can't beat, I had a 42" Sony that I returned for this set and no regrets. I bought this TV for my little man cave and mostly for video games. The picture is very nice, it says 240 Hz on the box. Very clear image and colors are almost perfect. The only downside is that if you have a black screen, you can see a little bleeding in spots, but to be honest, it's not that bad, as 98% of the time it's invisible. Perfect for watching video games and sports. The TV is very thin and looks great when installed.
