Honestly... for the average consumer... buy this TV
By Michael C. Ruderman
I am simple Simple perfumes. Simple pleasure. simple needs I do enough research on a major purchase to know what will last 5-10 years depending on how technology changes, I look at my budget and look for the best purchase I can make. So my requirement was 1080p, 240Hz, 55" with Blue Ray player. I didn't care about 3D at the time, but when I saw the offer on this TV it included 3D, Blue Ray (with 3D) and glasses and (How To Train Your Dragon) Weeks before I bought it for less than what I paid for the TV alone. The results, plain and simple, are amazing. We're training the dragon with 3D glasses. Everyone wants to be an expert at what they do these days, and it's not professional quality, it's not high end. It's all bullshit and they will write a lot about it and that's actually a good thing. Sure. But for me, the technology is ready. ?Absolutely! Blown off the back of my chair. No doubt. The picture quality was great? No doubt. 99.98% of buyers will like it. How and why to get the rest of the money can write 10,000 words about. Extra nero will be. best option for 6 weeks straight. To me, the next big thing as far as we've come in today's technological age. Bottom line... want something that looks good and will last for years do you bend Come Here, it's cheap enough to say yes, and if your life is more about having fun than always thinking about what you can have, you won't regret your purchase. There will always be Ferraris (and others). ), but somehow I think the rest of us enjoy a very well built, reliable, affordable car that will last with a good sound system. This is a purchase. Let Porsche and Ferrari owners not struggle for track time and performance they will never experience on a daily basis. If you value performance above all else...be prepared to pay for the experience that comes with it. It works great for my daily 1-2 hours of browsing experience.

Compatible with HDMI 1.4
not doing anything surprising
For anyone looking for this info, I have a tv and it's hdmi 1.4, Amazon's description is wrong and if you don't want to take my word for it, you can find this info in the product documentation. This TV can also upscale a 2D HDMI 1.3 signal to 3D. The blurry lighting problem that some have seen with the peripheral lighting reported in the 2009 product has been greatly improved for the 2010, and I can't say I've noticed it in a dark scene. People should stop using old products to review current products in 2010, not 2009. In addition to performance, you'll be amazed and feel less pain knowing you're spending your child's college fund.

Better than Samsung's 2009 edge-lit LED LCDs...but not enough to get rid of problems/ties.
Author: A. Leetham
I've had this TV for a few weeks now and have tested it several times with different sources and room lighting conditions. For starters, I'm going to send it back (received this week) and wait for the UNC8000 Precision Dimming Edge LED Lighting Kit, or possibly Sony's XBR-HX900 or XBR-LX900. The C7000 is a good TV. It compares favorably with one of Samsung's 2009 edge-lit LED LCDs, though not significantly so. However, it doesn't compare to the UNB8500 released in late 2009. Even Vizio beats it. the latter (552), the Sony XBR 8 and LG's LH 90 also give it a good shot and win in some big areas. Basically, the C7000's performance matches or exceeds several TVs for a lower price. If you're not a video buff and don't care about picture performance in a completely dark room, I'm sure this TV will suit you perfectly. However, if you are a videographer and/or shoot in a completely dark room and a reliable version of the movie in the theater is very important to you, this is not the TV for you. This TV suffers from the same problems caused by Samsung's 2009 edge-lit LED range, meaning that when viewed in a dark room, it emits too much light from the edges, top, bottom and sides of the picture and won't work. . as you would expect from a TV of this value. Last year, Samsung improved its edge-lit LED backlight swingarm. The TV has no backlight flickering problem. However, I must return to the subject of light from the edges of the screen. This is a concern for anyone who wants to replicate the natural theater experience and watch movies as they appear. You can't recreate that experience with this TV. When you're watching a movie or other content in a completely dark room, it's impossible not to notice the light shining on the edges. This is a big problem for many of us. I will say that this TV is a great performer when watching a movie in a bright room. It is also ideal for viewing sporting events, animated features and other bright animated content in a well-lit room. Of course, most of us don't want to pay $3,300 to be completely satisfied with our TV in a well-lit room. Light glare from the edges can also cause a lot of problems when we have access to enough 3D content to watch in 3D. Imagine trying to immerse yourself in a 3D viewing experience and being unable to focus on the 3D atmosphere because of the light in the field of view. I don't see it working. It seems that this will be a major obstacle to viewing 3D content. Imagine watching Avatar in 3D or IMAX 3D, with light shining in every corner of the movie. There's no way it won't distract you and detract from your viewing experience. I guess 3D display will be a big thing when we get content. I'm going to discuss some of the good things about this TV because I don't want anyone to think it's a bad TV. I would actually give it 2.5 out of 5 stars, but Amazon doesn't allow half stars, so I went with 3 because the positives probably outweigh the negatives on this TV. Color accuracy is what we've come to expect from Samsung, which is flawless. Although not with natively dimmable LED arrays like the 8500 and XBR8 or Pioneer Plasma Kuro 151, black levels are remarkable and you don't have backlight issues. The level of blacks is much better than in recent years. Video processing and motion resolution are excellent. Apparently, this feature is on par with the 8500, which is probably the only LCD in history that can resolve all 1080 motion lines. After getting reviews and testing the video processing, it will be interesting to see if this TV can do it. This TV handles 24 fps content perfectly and plays a decent frame rate for movie-based content. It's definitely a good TV, it has few major flaws, and it outperforms some sub-$1,000 TVs. There is definitely a chance for 3D display issues, and Samsung needs to find a way to fix the issue of light coming from the edges of the screen.
