I recently purchased a Sony Bravia EX720 at a local electronics store (not from Amazon as I prefer to shop locally for large electronics if I need a quick return and exchange if something goes wrong). Overall the TV is good but not great. Here's a quick and dirty list of "in my opinion (IMO)" pros and cons: Pros: - High quality side-lit LED LCD - True 1080P 3D and High Definition capable, but with some limitations - Color and contrast are bright. You only have time to manually adjust image parameters -built-in 3D streamer; Buying an external streamer saves you about $35 - 3D effects are generally very good, but best results can be achieved when watching 3D Blu-ray movies - Artificial 3D option works well in 3D options and is an option for PC. Playback Play in 3D without using NVidia 3D Vision or 3DTV play drivers; This allows you to maintain frame rates up to 60 fps without reverting to 24 Hz (24 fps) refresh rate - No visible 3D ghosting, but you may have to manually adjust the depth effect - Me - 4 HDMI 1.4 ports - Internet ready out of the box - 6 degrees of rotation and adjustment - Direct compatibility with Sony PS3 (no surprise since it's a Sony TV) - TV firmware can be updated but requires internet connection - TV weighs 25 pounds - Very light and easy to move with nails or wall mount Done without worrying about breaking screws! - Hotkeys on remote control are very convenient and save time. - Menu to adjust specific functions each time. Cons:- NO 240Hz 3D TV; Sony.com lists this model's specs as a "120Hz" refresh rate (AMAZON NEEDS TO CHANGE THE FALSE DESCRIPTION OF THIS TV!) -32EX720; Their website does not provide this information; Confirmed with technical representative that version TDGBR100/B is compatible with KDL-32EX720; Important to remember "B" think "B" stands for "Bravia" :) - 3D display @ 1080P only limited to 24hz and 30hz?? 24Hz = 24fps and 30Hz = 30fps are no problem for watching Blu-ray 3D movies (or 2D movies converted to 3D), but not acceptable if you want to play PC games on this TV; One of the reasons I bought it is because it takes hours to manually adjust the desired image; You need to go to advanced settings to change white balance, black level correction, edge enhancement and more. - at a slightly higher price, due to the lack of 3D glasses or 240 Hz refresh rate; Be careful! Glasses are $150 separately. The power cord is connected to the TV; Would prefer a universal solution for the power cable so it can be easily replaced if damaged - the remote is a bit large and doesn't offer universal remote control functionality, only letting you control the TV; Unlike other remotes that control multiple devices - a universal remote function would be good for me as I can use the remote to control the TV and my Sony PS3; I don't know why Sony wouldn't allow this except to make more money from customers...no way! lolBOTTOMLINE: Depending on your goals, your first use of this TV will ultimately determine whether you buy it or not. If you plan to watch movies and 3D Blu-rays regularly and like the convenience of built-in Internet functionality, this TV is a good choice, though it's a bit pricey considering you'll pay an extra $150 for the 3D glasses. Picture quality is excellent when watching Blu-ray movies and there are many options to adjust the picture appearance to your taste/preference. Think of it like adjusting the driver's seat in the new car you're about to buy. You won't know the exact settings until you've had them for a while, but once you do, it's worth the trip. I would not recommend buying this TV if you plan to play serious 3D games on it. I strongly suggest you wait until the larger 27" and "true" 120Hz 3D monitors come out later this year. I get the best 3D experience while gaming on a PC (not released yet) and may need to support 3D (stereo) 1080P@ 60Hz I'll have to wait for HDMI 1.5 :) Overall, the Sony Bravia KDL-32EX720 is a very good but not a great 3D TV. It looks like a jack of all but a jack of none.

*UPDATE* May 19, 2011 I've had this TV for over a month and would like to update: Image: Custom Settings! Out of the box, the picture quality is not the best. There is some grain, a noticeable soap opera effect and some stuttering with moving images. Each owner should calibrate the parameters according to their preference. Deactivating the ECO sensor is also very important; Your TV will be much brighter. I followed the custom settings on flatpanelshd.com where the reviewer changed the best picture output settings to advanced settings like B-Gain and R-Gain. After that I played around with other settings until I found an image I was really happy with. Comparison: Two of my friends bought 55-inch LG LW5600s and I had a great time watching their TVs. LG uses passive 3D, so the glasses are very cheap and comfortable - I hate to say it, but overall the 3D on this TV is probably the best. They also offer a contrast ratio of 8 million to 1 compared to the Sony EX720's 2 million to 1. This means that LG has a bright gamut of vibrant colors. But after changing the settings, I was able to get comparable color results and the Sony image was sharper; You couldn't get LG's soap opera effect if you tried. The MotionFlow 240 really seems to make a difference as I can see wrinkles on the face of the most attractive person in the world that I couldn't see on the LG. Also, the LG experiences a lot of noise while watching sports, which could be caused by cable or the TV's 120Hz processor. Still a five-star rating from LG for sharper pictures and better pictures with better settings. Original review below.*As of April*Photos: Good. Frankly, seeing even a pencil drawing on wax paper would be an improvement when I was about six years old looking at a 37-inch LCD screen. But I watched ESPN HD, Avatar HD and a bunch of other random stuff on HBO. There was no noticeable fogging (bright spots on the screen). I was surprised that there was no telenovela influence in the films and TV series I watched. More pictures: Actually, this is not a "real" 240 Hz TV MotionFlow is marketed as 240Hz, which basically means it's 120Hz, but it has technology that Sony has developed to "upscale the frame rate to 240Hz". However, I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 120Hz and 240Hz. I would like the image to be a little brighter, but adjusting the settings is very easy. Also, the black levels weren't as black as I would have liked. When watching a show with a lot of black screen, it always looks a bit gray compared to the black frame surrounding the TV. Word: Huge. You know how sometimes you watch a DVD or TV show and the music and background noise is too loud and the vocals and dialogue are too quiet, then you have to turn up the volume to hear the dialogue, but then it quickly stops because the music is loud? Afraid? Not so with this TV. It apparently has technology that detects conversations and automatically reduces background noise and boosts voice. Also, there is a noticeable difference in quality when you change the sound setting to "S-Force Front Surround", the sound seems to resonate more with this setting. 3D: Wow! Well, there are some issues with correlation - a term I learned from reading a bunch of reviews. Sometimes you'll see double frames, but all the TV reviews I've read seem to suffer from this problem because it's new technology. My DirecTV offered four 3D channels, one of which was a nature channel revolving around shows about dinosaurs, sea life and space. I watched this channel for four hours and now I know a bunch of random facts about dinosaurs, sea life and space. I invited three people and we watched this channel for four hours. There were parts of an ocean documentary where schools of fish appeared meters away from the screen. And the scary brontosaurus looked across my living room - I wanted to pet it. Even in large landscape panoramas, the sense of depth was amazing. Remote control: effin brilliant. I don't know why, but the immediate response of the remote control made me very happy. I had a Warner Time Cable TV and it would do weird things where I would press the button on the remote and nothing would happen and then 15 seconds later everything would happen at once. DirecTV is good, but sometimes lags. But this TV and its remote control are equally exciting. There is no lag time and the interface screen is very easy to use and navigate even for non-techy guys. Interface and Settings: Excellent. Navigating the settings is intuitive and easy - similar to the PS3 interface. Everything is explained in simple words and written so clearly that even a girl will have no problem. Also little features like naming different screen inputs and adding an icon to them? So now when I switch the display between DVD, DirecTV and Xbox, it flashes those titles on the screen and an icon next to them that I selected! W00T! And changing settings is child's play. Many basic settings (such as display, sound, etc.) can be accessed directly from the show you're watching instead of going through menus. I connected the router directly with a network cable. I'm done, dad. I was getting good connection speed with Youtube, Qriocity and Hulu. My only complaint is that it probably takes some getting used to typing everything - the weird alphanumeric style you get when typing something with your phone's keyboard.

Update 03/30/2011: Amazon has removed the 240Hz tag from the product name, but not from the box contents section. Since this 120Hz product is no longer advertised as 240Hz, I am changing the rating. Warning: Potential violation of contract for this TV. Note: As of 03/24/2011, I noticed on the Sony Style website that the EX720 now only runs at 120Hz, not the advertised 240Hz. I hope it's Sony's fault, but if not, this is a serious case of false advertising. I was specifically in the market for a 240Hz HDTV because the price justifies it, which may change my satisfaction level with this review. Before purchasing this product, please note that the update frequency information may be false. Update: It has been confirmed that this HDTV is not 240Hz as advertised. It is only 120 Hz. The rating has been adjusted due to false marketing and shows little improvement over previous models that cost much less.
