The system was fairly easy to set up, thanks to the color-coding of the cables and the step-by-step installation on the screen. The sound was good, which is what you expect from HTIB. My biggest complaint with the product was that it supports different file types via DLNA, but I think it requires a computer with the software to work properly. I'm using a NAS with a built-in media server and don't want to run a computer with software just to watch my movies. I was able to play with the .mkv files and run them without the software, but not the .mp4 files. I haven't tried installing the program to see if .mp4 files work. Another complaint I have about the device is that I couldn't find a way to go directly to the source. I kept scrolling through the entries (even though nothing was attached). Every time I wanted to switch from HDMI to Bluetooth, I had to go through each source until I got to Bluetooth. When I put it back I had to go through them again. Navigating through my files on the NAS (even though it can't read them) was pretty fast, although I wish I had a way to change where the files are stored. It lists them as 2 rows of large symbols that you have to swipe to the right. It would be nice if you could switch to list view and scroll down to see the full file name. If you want something faster and simpler than your TV speakers, this would probably be a good device. Since the speaker cables are proprietary and only come in one length, you'll probably want to use it in a small room. If you need a longer length, you must connect the end of the cable to a third-party cable of the same size. You'll also need space to plug in a wireless receiver for the rear speakers, which you'll have to use since the main unit doesn't have a rear speaker port.
